Halloween 2007!
What a great year for our yard haunt!
Our friend Darrell came out and dressed up. Our son stayed home for the first year and dressed up as he was too big to be Trick Or Treating. Even though the time change fell after Halloween this year and our haunt was mostly in the daylight, the tots and adults alike still enjoyed it! We heard all kinds of great comments through the evening and had several cameras going off. We could see Neighbors up the street that were sitting in their driveway or at the end of their driveway so they had a view of our house. We were also told that many of the kids hardly stopped at some of the houses on the way up the street as they were in a hurry to get to our house.
This year we added soooo much to our yard, including a decent cheap fence to go around the yard, more tombstones, several bluckies, some standing, a couple on the roof, one swinging, one hanging out in a tree etc...
We also added a coffin that my husband and I worked on, built to his body size, LOL.
My son and I built a large Grim Reaper Mud Monster that we are so proud of, though his LED eyes quit working after a couple days in the yard. He was still great looking.
Some projects never got done but that is how it is in our hobby, always more that you want/wish you could built.
This is me in the grey wig and cape trying to get boris to stay in the grim's hand. (I never got him to stay, instead the Grim held a pumpkin) My husband is the zombie figure behind me. Thanks to our friend Darrell for taking this picture with his cell phone, otherwise there is no record of us dressed for the kiddies. I need to make sure I take pictures of us next year as I forget every other year. I don't even have a picture of Darrell or our son Gary dressed in their costumes.
I made this 5ft static witch with LED eyes.
We bought the 6ft Animated Mummy, our daughter loved it, she loved to hear him hum.....
